Carolina is a dedicated dancer, teacher, and cultural ambassador with over 25 years of experience in the world of dance. Her journey began at the age of 7, training in ballet, jazz, and flamenco, and later transitioning to Middle Eastern dance at 13, while preserving her deep connection to Colombian folklore.
​
Her exceptional talent and passion have earned her accolades, including being named Best Professional Middle Eastern Dancer at the 2010 LatinArabian Festival. Carolina has shared her expertise as a dance instructor across Colombia and Canada, captivating audiences and inspiring students with her artistry and technical precision.

Now based in Victoria, BC, Carolina collaborates with Fusión Chibcha Society, where she brings her love for dance to life through performances, teaching, and community engagement. She describes dance as "the breath to my soul," embodying her belief in the transformative power of movement to connect, heal, and inspire.​​​​

Nharem ceballos
Chroreographer
Nharem is a visionary choreographer and dancer who has played a key role in shaping the creative direction of Fusión Chibcha Society. Specializing in urban-style dance, he brings a fresh and dynamic energy to the group, blending contemporary movements with traditional Colombian elements.
Nharem’s approach is not only about the dance itself but also about the fusion of sounds. By incorporating a mix of modern beats with Colombian music, he enhances the storytelling aspect of the performances, allowing the music and movement to work together harmoniously. His choreography pushes boundaries, infusing every routine with a modern flair while staying true to cultural roots.
He remains dedicated to evolving Fusión Chibcha as a platform for celebrating Colombian heritage while embracing the vibrancy of modern dance and sound.

Rommel Guillott
Photographer
Rommel is a talented photographer with a rich background in sports photography and race track imagery. His keen eye for capturing the intensity and emotion of athletic performance has made him a sought-after professional in the field. Over the years, Rommel has developed a reputation for his ability to freeze moments in time, bringing the raw energy of sports to life through his lens.
In addition to his work as a photographer, Rommel is a skilled Broadcast Engineer with extensive experience across multiple broadcast stations in Colombia. He was instrumental in installing one of the first connection lines in remote areas of the Amazon, a project that greatly enhanced communication and broadcast accessibility in one of the most challenging terrains.

Lina is a passionate founder with a deep love for dance, community, and creativity. Dance has awakened her soul, driving her to create spaces where art, expression, and personal growth can thrive. Since the beginning, she has been involved in costume design, event logistics, partnerships, and building the dance group, all while contributing as a dancer herself. She is dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging through artistic projects that inspire and uplift, always striving to empower others while continuing to learn and evolve.

Viviane Jiménez
Founder - Social media
A musician, editor, music and audio producer graduated from ENE Audio in Bogotá, Colombia, with over 13 years of experience in music production. Has made the group's logo and designs, as well as all the social network media.
Her journey in the performing arts began at age 6 with music and folklore, followed by theater at 12 with DECA Teatro, and has participated in multiple festivals such as FIT in Bogotá.
In her 20s, she pursued classical ballet with the school Comtempora Ballet and was part of the performance in the 2018 Alice in the Mirror production at the Roberto Arias Pérez Theater.

Marcela Castaneda
Founder - Event Planner
Marcela is an entrepreneur and event planner with a strong foundation in clinical laboratory science. She blends her analytical background with her passion for culture, dance, and community-building. Marcela is deeply committed to promoting Colombian heritage and creating spaces where diversity and artistry can shine.

​Her entrepreneurial spirit is also reflected in her business, where she advocates for Colombian Indigenous artisans by promoting handmade Wayuu bags and accessories. These efforts support sustainability and celebrate the unique craftsmanship of her homeland.

Through her work, Marcela aims to inspire others, celebrate her roots, and create opportunities for cultural connection, while continuing to learn and evolve as a leader and advocate for the arts.

Diana Valencia
Founder - Director
Diana is the guiding force behind Fusión Chibcha Society, a nurturing leader whose wisdom and dedication have been fundamental to the group’s growth from the very beginning. As the primary communicator, she has played a crucial role in establishing connections with Colombia to bring traditional costumes and instruments, ensuring that every performance reflects the cultural richness of her heritage.
Diana’s leadership goes beyond logistics—she is the heart of the group, always encouraging and uplifting every member to reach their full potential. Her nurturing spirit fosters a strong sense of community and collaboration, where each individual feels supported and valued.
Known for her unwavering commitment to the group’s vision, Diana has been instrumental in building relationships with event organizers, allowing Fusión Chibcha to share its cultural expressions with diverse audiences. She is like a mother to the group, ensuring that the creative process remains inclusive, positive, and inspiring for all involved.
